MTV vs. MIA

M.I.A. released a video for her song, "Paper Planes" and some controversy has risen. MTV's edited version of the video edited out the gunshots from the background that you would normally hear during the chorus. CBS edited out the sounds when she performed on Letterman awhile ago. But anyways, here is the video, gunshots and all.

Ready for The Floor

Hot Chip has released a video for the song "Ready for The Floor." Their next album is called "Made In The Dark" and will be out in February of next year. I love colors.

My Misunderstanding Mind

Well if you read the last post, I am sorry. Basically I didn't understand what was happening, and I too, was disappointed to see the rerun of SNL last night. So it turns out that Michael Cera DID host a special "On Strike!" Saturday Night Live, but there were no camera's. Instead, more of a "stage" version was held in Chelsea New York. I misread, and I apologize. Here are a couple SNL videos for the fix of funny we are all in need of.

Hold Steady's New Stuff

There's word from Gum that the Hold Steady have been performing some new songs at their shows, three to be exact, and their favorite is called, "Lord I'm Discouraged." A beauty of a rock ballad, I am thinking maybe a good candidate for Guitar Hero 4. This clip of them performing it was taken in Columbus Ohio on October 27.

Panda Bear Skateboarding

This isn't the newest kid on the block, but it is still relatively fresh. Panda Bear's newish video for their song "Comfy in Nautica" is simply a skateboarding video. But the skateboarder comes out of the ocean. Very cool. Sorry if I got your hopes up with the title.

Icelandic Awesomeness

I think I talk about this too much. Spinner lets loose a new video clip from Sigur Rós' upcoming film, Heima. In this clip, the band is performing the song, "Gitardjamm."

Another Installment of Cheerleader! Rock

One of my favorite bands has a new video for their song, "The Wrath of Marice." The Go! Team is an awesome band that makes me feel oh so happy, and occasionally accompanies me while running. I say occasionally because I don't do a lot of running.

Just another day at the office...

Apostle of Hustle's new video for the song, "Cheap Like Sebastian" is here and it is ready for the watching. The song comes from their National Anthem of Nowhere album. It features front man Andrew Whiteman walking through a peculiar office. You might recognize him as part of the band, Broken Social Scene. I rather enjoy the scene of the priest in the strobe light.

Another Video?!

Yes, another new video, and this one brings back memories of my wonderful childhood. As I watch Bloc Party's new video for their song, "Flux," I think back to the days of pajamas, cereal, and the Power Rangers on saturday mornings. Here you go.

It's been a while because school has been rough. But I will try to do better. Right now, I am telling you about the new video for that Mark Ronson remix of Bob Dylan's, "Most Likely You Go Your Way (and I'll Go Mine)." If you haven't heard the remix than thats a real shame.
