Sigur Rós Update

Well, if you live anywhere else but North America you would already have access to Sigur Rós' newest Film/Album double release, heima/hvarf-heim. But if you are like me and you DO live in North America, then you have to wait. You only have to wait until tomorrow to purchase the CD, but as for the film, you have to wait until November 20th. How can I be expected to be patient under such circumstances?

Icelandic Awesomeness

I think I talk about this too much. Spinner lets loose a new video clip from Sigur Rós' upcoming film, Heima. In this clip, the band is performing the song, "Gitardjamm."

New Tracks

I have spoken before concerning Sigur Rós' film Heima which we now know they will be releasing with their next album, "Hvarf-Heim." The film and album are set to be released this November 5th. They are now streaming four of the tracks from said Hvarf-Heim album on their Myspace page.

Daft Punk's next album, "Alive" is set to come out on November 20th (I think Chantel mentioned this?) You can listen to a cut from it, called Too Long/Steam Machine on their Myspace page.

Icelandic Spectacular

Sigur Rós is making their first film, and it's called Heima. It is a movie about the tour of their homeland, Iceland. With the beautiful Icelandic landscapes, and Sigur Rós' spectacularly entrancing ambient rock, I think this will be a very good thing. The DVD will come with a CD when it is released later this fall. You can watch the trailer below, or, if you want it in a higher resolution, you can find it here.

Also, Sigur Rós has two songs that are going to be on Leonardo DiCaprio's new film, "The Eleventh Hour."
